Frequently Asked Questions
How do I take the tonic?
Take 1–2 oz straight as a shot, or mix into water, juice, or a smoothie. Many people take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Start with a smaller amount if you're new to tonics and work your way up.
What does it taste like?
Our Wellness Tonic is bold, tangy, and warming — raw apple cider vinegar, ginger, garlic, and horseradish root give it a strong kick. If you prefer something milder, our Sweet or Cinnamon flavors are a great starting point. Our Fire flavor is the most intense, while Spicy sits in the middle of the heat range. The Elderberry flavor adds a subtly fruity note while keeping the tonic's signature depth.
How spicy is it?
Heat level varies by flavor. Fire is the hottest, followed by Spicy. Sweet and Cinnamon are the mildest options. If you're sensitive to heat, we recommend starting with Sweet or Cinnamon — or trying our Sampler Pack (all 5 flavors in 2 oz bottles) to find your favorite before committing to a larger size.
What's in URTHCUR Wellness Tonic?
Our Wellness Tonic is made with: organic garlic, onions, horseradish root, ginger, hot peppers, turmeric, honey, lemons, cinnamon, raw apple cider vinegar, and elderberries. All ingredients are organic. No artificial additives, fillers, or preservatives.
What sizes are available?
The Wellness Tonic comes in 2 oz, 4 oz, 8 oz, and 16 oz bottles. We also offer a Sampler Pack with all 5 flavors in 2 oz bottles — perfect for first-timers or as a gift. The Elderberry Tonic is available in 2 oz, 4 oz, and 8 oz.
How should I store the tonic?
Refrigerate after opening and use within a reasonable time for best quality. Unopened bottles should be stored in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat.
Does the Elderberry Tonic interact with any medications?
Elderberry may interact with certain medications, including some immunosuppressants. If you take prescription medications, please consult your healthcare provider before adding elderberry products to your routine.
Is the tonic safe during pregnancy or while nursing?
Some ingredients — including concentrated ginger and hot peppers — are potent. If you are pregnant, nursing, or have an existing health condition, please speak with your healthcare provider before use.
When should I talk to a clinician?
URTHCUR tonics are food-based wellness products, not medicine. If you have a chronic health condition, take prescription medications, are pregnant or nursing, or have questions about how any ingredient may affect you personally, we always encourage you to check with a qualified healthcare professional.
